Branford Harbor Blessing of the Fleet

“BLESSING OF THE FLEET” PLANNED IN BRANFORD HARBOR

On Saturday, June 4, 2011, there will be a Blessing of the Fleet at 1:00 p.m. at The Branford Town Dock. (Rain Date is Sunday, June 5, 2011, at 1:00 p.m.) It will be hosted by the New Haven Chapter of The United States Power Squadron. Mark Cisto, the Squadron Chaplain, along with Branford clergy members will be blessing the boats as they proceed past the town dock on the Branford river and on toward Branford Harbor. This is a fun, family event. All boat owners of all types, be it power, sail, kayak, fishing, or row boat are invited to participate. Boat decoration is encouraged! The United States Power Squadron is a national boating organization for both sail and power water craft. The New Haven Chapter is the oldest continuously operating squadron in the country and will celebrating its 100th anniversary in 2013.
