Alan Pierson and the Borough’s oldest orchestra in partnership with the Brooklyn Youth Chorus Academy take the stage at Roulette‘s impressive new space to present a multimedia event that will tell the tale of Brooklyn’s original settlement–Brooklyn Village, born 387 years ago around an ancient Indian trail in present-day DUMBO. The performance draws inspiration from Francis Guy’s 1820 painting Winter Scene in Brooklyn which hangs in the Brooklyn Museum. With world premieres by Brooklyn composers David T. Little, Sarah Kirkland Snider, and with songstress Melissa Hughes as vocal soloist, this concert will spin many decades of Brooklyn history into an unforgettable tour de force.
