Artie Tobia Band & Kevin McIntyre and the Lawn Wranglers
Two of Westchester's favorite local artists bring their amazing bands to take a turn on the Emelin stage for an evening of great music from rock to folk, Americana to R&B, alt-country to swingy blues.
ARTIE TOBIA BAND
Singer-songwriter and New Rochelle resident Artie Tobia is a dynamic musician and lyricist with songs that capture "moments of American realism such as those sung by Bruce Springsteen" (The Journal News). With a catalog of over a hundred originals encompassing a diverse mix of rock, country-folk, R&B and the blues, Tobia's lyrics are deeply felt caricatures of everyday life, that engage and forge a meaningful connection with his listeners.
Tobia has forged a career as a performing artist in the area with a rich and loyal following. He has released five albums of original work including his most recent 2018 album Driven, a genre defying mix of blues, jazz and swampy rock and roll sounds, hailed by music contributor Bobby Moore as "a nonstop ride through the creative mind of a hidden Americana treasure."
KEVIN MCINTYRE AND THE LAWN WRANGLERS
If you like Steve Earle, Tom Petty, Turnpike Troubadours, The Jayhawks, meet singer/songwriter and Larchmont resident Kevin McIntyre. McIntyre formed the Lawn Wranglers in 2005, and since then, McIntyre (lead vocals, acoustic guitar), Gary Blu (harmony vocals, mandolin), and Andy Abel (electric guitar) have been playing their brand of heartfelt, Alt-Country/Americana music to audiences throughout the lower Hudson Valley and NYC metro area. This full band show will also include CT music veterans Dave Overthrow (bass), Kurt Berglud (drums), and Barbara Bock (harmony vocals).
In 2013, McIntyre released the single "Anchor" which was co-written with the late Greg Trooper and produced by two time GRAMMY winner Stewart Lerman. This event at the Emelin will see the release of the band's new album "Souvenirs."
