Citi Field is the brand new home of the New York Mets of Major League Baseball (MLB), competing in the National League. The stadium was opened in 2009, which is the same season the Mets began to play in it.

Citi Field has natural grass and capacity for approximately 45,000 fans. Shea Stadium, the old home of the Mets was demolished after the end of the 2008 season.
