EVERYONE has something to give to help their community and a charity. Without spending a dime you can help Guilford residents and St Jude Children hospital.
Many of you may already know about the great things St Jude does for children and families around the world but what you may not know is how they are helping Guilford residents. They will be having there first Vocal Competition in Guilford. The winners get great rewards and the contestants get exposure and hopefully have fun performing and helping St Jude.
The Grand Prize -Singing the National Anthem at a Connecticut Sun Basketball Game at Mohegan Sun. Plus 4 Hours Studio Time at Upsetta Sound Studio Burlington, VT. Second Place Prize - 1 Overnight Stay + 2 tickets to the Christmas Lights Tran-Siberian Orchestra at the Mohegan Sun. Third Place Prize - Dinner for 2 at one of Mohegan Sun's Restaurants
This is a great opportunity for the community young and old to get involved ether by donating, attending or spreading the word about this event to make it a success. Hopefully they will have this competition every year in Guilford.“iSing for St Jude”
Sunday, September 26th The program will begin at 2:00 pm at 605 New England Road Guilford. Reception and Teacup Raffle with refreshments will follow. Master of Ceremony will be John “Cadillac” Saville. Celebrity judges will be Sara Welch and Gill Simmons from WTNH channel 8 and Dr Elizabeth Lorenzo a renowned doctor of Musicology. Special Guest performer is James Caputo.
