The Hofstra University Department of Anthropology presents the Archaeological Institute of America/Long Island Society (AIA/LIS) Lecture Series. The April 29 lecture will be given by Dr. David Anthony, Professor, Department of Anthology; Anthropology Curator, The Yager Museum of Art and Culture; and Director, Institute of Ancient Equestrian Studies, Hartwick College. Recent archaeological discoveries in the Eurasian steppes will be described, illustrating the earliest evidence thus found of horseback riding and use of chariots before 1500 B.C.
