The Hofstra University Department of Anthropology presents the Archaeological Institute of America/Long Island Society (AIA/LIS) Lecture Series. The March 25 lecture will be given by Dr. Richard Hansen, Project Director, Mirador Basin Project, North Peten, Guatemala. The talk will describe the latest discoveries in northern Guatemala's Mirador Basin, which include the largest and earliest Maya cities, the largest pyramids and the first "freeway" system in the world.
Admission is free.
