Adult Ceramics Workshop: Altering the Vessel

Created for the potter who wants to expand his/her repertoire of shapes and possibilities, this workshop offers instruction in ways of altering the form and surface of freshly thrown work. Pots made this way can look spontaneous, fluid, and animated, reflecting the process of working with wet clay. The instructor will demonstrate how to create faceted surfaces on leather-hard pottery. Students will select glazes and return to pick up fired pots two weeks after workshop
