Nurses do not receive business management training in their basic programs and frequently are promoted into management positions without additional training. This program seeks to provide tools and guidance to those professionals in hospitals, managed care organizations, in independent case management organizations or as business owners who manage case management. You have been promoted to manager ... what now? This program provides the tools and guidance to assist managers and those seeking positions of management in case management departments, units or businesses. If you are in, or seeking a management position, this program will provide basic management direction for hiring, mentoring, evaluating personnel, and creating a department with credible outcomes, savvy business direction and personal care management to patients served. The registration fee will include instructional materials and a continental breakfast. Those seeking live continuing nursing education will earn 7.0 contact hours after attending the seminar in its entirety and handing in the evaluation form. Learning Goal (Purpose)
The purpose of this presentation is to provide guidance to professionals who manage case management departments, units or businesses. Objectives:
1. Describe the basic goals of a case management department unit or business. 2. Demonstrate application of business principles through case study participation. 3. Define case management department unit or business success. 4. Recognize basic legal and ethical responsibilities surrounding case management and the management position.

Guests should arrive at the external security checkpoint located at the corner of Wall and Broad Streets. All guests are required to show government issued photo Id (i.e., valid driver's license or passport) and go through an airport-like security system upon entering the Exchange. The New York Stock Exchange requests that we stay in the building for lunch. Lunch is on your own. There is a cafeteria and restaurant in the building. Public transportation is recommended. Subway: 2/3 to Wall Street; 4/5 to Wall Street/Broadway; J/Z to Broad Street/Wall Street, R/W to Rector Street. By car drop-off: please go to Broadway at Wall Street. Parking garage informatiojn is available upon request. Fee includes instructional materials and a continental breakfast. Seminar sites are handicapped accessible and barrier-free.
Seminar room temperatures are difficult to control. For your comfort, please plan accordingly.
ALL programs must be attended in their entirety in order to receive a certificate of completion.  
Cancellation and Refund Policy for Seminars:
Phone cancellations must be confirmed in writing. Cancellations received four weeks prior to the seminar receive a full refund of the registration fee. Cancellations received after four weeks and up to seven days prior to the seminar are assessed a $50 processing fee. Cancellations received seven days prior to the seminar or “no shows” are nonrefundable. Registration fees are transferable to an upcoming seminar within the same calendar year (expires December 31 each year) or to another participant. In the event that a seminar is cancelled, a full refund will be issued.
