To Lie in the Sky is Pat Catterson's 104th work and has been created with the generous support of a Fellowship from the John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation. Like the May Swenson poem from which the title is taken, it
is concerned with the relationship between body, self and place. A topic of long standing interest to philosophers, as well as neuroscientists and psychologists, it is for dancers, a daily investigation and preoccupation.
