NP Contemporary Art Center

Located in the heart of New York City's Lower East Side, NP Contemporary Art Center is a think tank for the creation of contemporary art. It constitutes a unique, community-driven art haven with a strong international dimension and a dynamic program of exhibitions, performances, concerts, artists' talks, publications, video and movie screenings. NP's less rigid structure is more closely in tune with contemporary artistic activities and grassroots developments. With an eye on the future and aimed at broadening horizons,the space consists of three entities (a contemporary art gallery, a performance space and an education center) articulating a set of complementary functions. Cross-discipline programming consists of six annual exhibitions and several yearly performances that closely examine the evolution of the contemporary creation and promote the understanding of contemporary art.
The goal is to provide high-level contemporary art programming with a major emphasis on community involvement, collaboration and mentorship, making NP an innovating and experimental art center.
