Straight No Chaser

The 10-member vocal ensemble Straight No Chaser has virtually reinvented the art of a cappella on the modern pop landscape. In an era when so much pop music has become the product of digital processing and vocal pro-tooling, Straight No Chaser revels in the captivating sound of unadulterated human voices coming together to make extraordinary, moving music, and always with a sense of humor. "We take the music very seriously, we just don't take ourselves too seriously," says original member Randy Stine.
Originally formed over a dozen years ago while students together at Indiana University, the group has reassembled and reemerged as a phenomenon - with a massive fanbase, more than 20 million views on YouTube, numerous national TV appearances, and proven success with two holiday releases, 2008's Holiday Spirits and 2009's Christmas Cheers as well as With a Twist, released in the spring of 2010.
This fall, Straight No Chaser will release a new EP, Six Pack: Volume 2. With this new collection, the group lends its distinctive touch to a selection of modern pop classics, including Weezer's "Buddy Holly," Madonna's "Like A Prayer," and "Get Ready," written by Smokey Robinson and made famous by The Temptations. In addition to a brand new original song, the new EP features two of Straight No Chaser's signature medleys, the first pairing Plain White T's' "Rhythm Of Love" with the Elvis Presley standard "Can't Help Falling In Love," the second blending Michael Jackson's "Billie Jean" with Bell Biv Devoe's "Poison."
