King Manor Museum is the historic home of Rufus King, a Framer of the US Constitution, first US Senator from NY, Ambassador to Great Britain, and early opponent of slavery. The Manor and surrounding farm (now a NYC Park) were also home to King's eldest son, John Alsop King, who followed in his father's footsteps and served as an anti-slavery Congressman and Governor of New York.
