The 1907 Van Norden Carriage House serves as performance amphitheatre for concerts, lectures, school programs and dramatic productions. It houses the educational exhibit "The Design of Providence" curated by Gretchen Sorin; through a series of bright, interactive kiosks that capture the central themes of the Jay family's ancestral homestead, the relationship between man and his natural landscape is examined. The Carriage House is also the site of the JHC's acclaimed summer architecture camp for kids.
