American Legion Post 23

American Legion Post 23 on Main Street in Old Wethersfield has a large meeting room (no raised stage) with generous windows, high ceilings, air conditioning, and a wooden floor. Although designed as a meeting hall and still used for Post events, Post 23 in Wethersfield has lately become known as a dance hall, dance studio, and special event reception hall. The hall is fitted with a dance barre along three sides. An adjoining kitchen. Small coatroom and vestibule. Restrooms in the basement, plus a wheelchair-accessible bathroom on the main floor, which is several steps up from the sidewalk level. (The hall itself is wheelchair accessible via a ramp alongside the building and a rear entrance.) Capacity for dances: 125. Capacity for sit-down dinners: approx. 100 people.
