Multi-award-winning singer songwriter, Holley McCreary, emerges from the depths of the pandemic eager to resume her standing as a rising star. And what better way to reach for the stars, than to perform at the world-famous Daryl’s House in Pawling, New York. Holley will be singing originals and some covers with Chris Vitarello, a gifted guitarist and blues hall of famer, on April 30th, 2021. This is a show not to be missed.
Holley’s pursuit of music began in church when, as a preacher’s daughter, she would sing with her family and her church family acapella. Instruments were not allowed, but for Holley, this enhanced her ability to harmonize. Focusing solely on the voices around her and not being distracted by the instruments might be one reason for this phenom’s incredible vocal ability. Another reason might be her musical education at the University of North Alabama, across the river from the famous Muscle Shoals, on vocal scholarship. Being in an area where so many famous musicians came before her, the energy within her environment fueled her musical talents and desires even more. But the true reason for Holley’s powerful and soulful voice can only be fully explained as a gift from God. Holley’s voice is original, unlike any other and does not disappoint in any genre. Holley writes and performs any genre of music, including rock, pop, country, soul, jazz, gospel, reggae and indie.
In addition to receiving multiple national awards, including the Los Angeles Music Awards (LAMA) Singer/Songwriter of the Year, Las Vegas, Hard Rock Café, Female Singer Songwriter of the Year, Unsigned Only Music Competition, her song, Drowning, was also given a nod at the International Songwriting Competition with an honorable mention, which is a unbelievable feat considering there were over seventeen thousand entries.
Holley’s debut country album, I Love You Still, is a tribute to her past that many would describe as heartbreaking, but all of us can relate to. Working with Grammy winning co-writer, John Kennedy, and long-time co-writer and Sorella Entertainment Founder, Karen Nussbaumer, this album is a testimony to the remarkable talent that Holley can bring forth. Holly’s strong writing crew is matched with the extremely talented studio musicians and engineers at Sound Emporium in Nashville, TN, where she recorded her first album, and is on track to record her second album 2021.
